Is a safety data sheet enough for an enquiry?

No. Include the commercial specification, concentration or grade, quantity, packaging or tank basis, destination registration, transport classification and required certificates.

Why must the receiving facility be checked early?

Tank material, pressure or refrigeration, unloading connection, storage licence, segregation and emergency capability may restrict product and vessel acceptance.

Do all chemicals move under the same maritime code?

No. Packaged dangerous goods, dangerous liquid chemicals in bulk, gases and solid bulk cargoes can fall under different IMO codes and product-specific requirements.
